Fabulous Armadillo - Oaxacan Alebrije Wood Carving

Beautiful friendly armadillo handcrafted out of a single large piece of copal wood by the Vidales family at their workshop in Oaxaca. The carving was exceptionally done with great attention to detail with the curve in the tail and the protruding neck of the armadillo. The friendly expression paired with the bright colors give this piece a very warm and inviting look. A great piece of Mexican folk art for any collection.
