Loteria Painting With Removable Game Pieces - Oaxacan Wood Carving Folk Art by Eleazar Morales

A fantastic representation of the classic loteria card game by top Oaxacan artist Eleazar Morales. This piece is made up of a thick piece of wood upon which the backgrounds of the game cards were painted. Rather than being painted along with the backgrounds, the characters were instead carved out of copal wood and painted to match the original design of the cards. Each piece is removable from the wooden board.
