Fine Jaguar - Oaxacan Alebrije Wood Carving

Very fine jaguar alebrije wood carving handcrafted in Oaxaca by the Fuentes family. This piece was carved out of copal wood which was sourced in the fields surrounding the family workshop in San Martin Tilcajete which is a small town just outside of Oaxaca city. This town is where most of these magical creations are made and where they gained popularity decades ago.
