Exceptional one-piece ostrich wood carving by Nestor Melchor and his wife Leticia. This gorgeous alebrije was carved by Nestor out of a single piece of copal wood which was sourced from the fields surrounding the town of San Martin. The carving was very well done with perfect proportions and a cheerful look on the ostriches face. A beautiful work of art by some of Oaxacas best artists!
