Beautiful deer alebrije wood carving by husband and wife team Jesus & Roxana Hernandez from the town of San Martin Tilcajete in Oaxaca. Expertly carved out of copal wood by Jesus and painted with fine detail by Roxana. The patterns were inspired by the ancient Zapotec ruins throughout Oaxaca which have a great importance in Oaxacan culture.
