Beautiful heron alebrije wood carving by the Melchor family. Expertly carved out of a single piece of copal wood at their workshop just outside of Oaxaca city in the town of San Martin Tilcajete which is where most of the top Oaxacan wood carvers reside. The painting was very finely done with vibrant colors and intricate Zapotec patterns. An excellent work of art!
